Literature Text

Usko already thought she had misheard and looked confused to the wolf. It took only a short while before she could speak again. "... What?"
"You're a wolf. Your ancestors blessed you with the gift of transformation, the heart of a wolf." He said again, but Usko still saw it as a joke. "Wait a minute! This is really going too far. I like old stories and legends, but that does not mean that I believe in it. I'm not a wolf!"
Annoyed growled the black beast in front of her. "I'm not lying to you, why should I? Why do you think I have told you this story? This encounter here is neither dream nor imagination. Usko ... please, it's important that you believe me."
"Leave me alone", she said to the wolf and turned her back on him to go. "You're weird ... And I slowly doubt my sanity. Animals can not speak and people can’t be wolves. Stop that!" She said now with sadness in her voice. It was all too much now. Her arms around the body she moved away from this ... she did not even call it wolf or animal. Only an illusion, a nightmare that should finally go to an end. She would even be happy to wake up in some musty barn where they sought shelter from the night, rather than being here.

"Listen to me! Just a last time!", the wolf growled insistently, but much smoother than before. Of course he felt the fear of the girl, but on the other hand he could not do much against it. She had to know the truth, no matter how hard it would be. It was for her own good, and also the others.
"It's hard to explain, especially to a stubborn as you are. I know it's hard to believe, but you're more than just a simple girl. I can feel it, that’s why I was looking for you. But I can’t tell you more before you actually trust me." The wolf sighed and struggled for words. "It may be crazy to take on a talking wolf. But my job is to look for other wolves that are just like you. Those who live as a human and yet in the heart belong to us."

Usko, who looked to the wolf again now, wiped a tear from her face." So there are many more of you? Us? Whomever?"
Again the wolf nodded, but hesitated to answer her. "Yes ... But as I said, I can not divulge if you are not convinced of your wolf blood. Otherwise you might get us all in danger. You know what people do with us as soon as they have discovered us …"
Cruel images flickered in Uskos thoughts. "If it is too dangerous for you to live as wolves, why do you not transform into humans then? Then they can’t harm you", she asked and her defiant tone displeased the wolf. "Because we prefer to live as wolves. We are sick of your kind so much...", he growled with bitter voice and glared angrily at Usko.
     "Excuse me..." she whispered softly.
"Nevermind... I see it's hopeless. Too bad ... I kind of like you." The wolf turned away from Usko now and just wanted to disappear into the thickets of the forest, when he turned one last time.
"Have you ever stroked a wolf, without losing the whole arm?"
This question surprised Usko so much that she blinked blankly. "Uh... no?"
"Then you have the only chance now", said the Wolf grinning and for a split of a second in his eyes flickered something that Usko was unable to interpret.
"Here, put your hand on my head, I'm not biting you", he said cheerfully, and returned to the still confused Usko.
"And you really leave me alone then?" Usko asked skeptically.
"Of course", replied the wolf tail wagging.
Usko had to admit - she would like to finally get rid of these pesky wolf. Sighing, she came to the wolf and hesitantly reached out her hand. On the lips of the great wolf she could see a relieved smile.

The girl took a deep breath and then put her hand on the wolfs head. The fur was soft and cuddly warm - despite the harsh climate here. The wolf growled satisfied and closed his eyes.
Suddenly the snow swirled around them, wrapped them in a whirlwind of glittering ice crystals. The eagles awakened from their nests, fluttered wildly in the air and screamed as they were afraid of something. Usko herself was surrounded by a fine, bluish shimmer of light flying around her body and grew even brighter.
"I knew it", the wolf said contentedly.
The girl squinted her eyes and pulled her hand away from the wolf. Immediately the light stops, the swirl of snow and ice laid down and Usko fell unconscious to the ground. Her eyes noticed only schemas and pale lights.. Before she slipped entirely into faint, she saw the blurred silhouette of a young man standing above her.
    Then everything went dark.
End of the first chapter. :la:

Oh, whoops. I seem to have read pg.4 before pg.3. Oh well. Anyways, I just finished my government exam and I thought I'd wander over here to read. I really like this! You have an excellent voice as a writer, I especially love the descriptions of the cold weather and warm houses on pg.1. You mentioned that this is your first time writing in another language. Is English your second language? Sometimes there is a bit of problem with the tenses of words and a couple phrases, but it isn't a big deal.
Anyways, your descriptions are excellent and I like the characters so far (I will have to draw them sometime!).
Keep writing, I will keep reading!
